  • [US Server] LA Shared/Reseller server upgrade - 15 Sept 2017 - 10PM

  • Though current server that runs on E3-1270v5 is still running great with with no complaint and yet it's not fully utilized, we are still happy to upgrade our existing server to get in touch with the latest E3 cpu in the market. As always, we invest the profit into the hardware.

    E3-1270v6 was just recently launch in Q1-2017. Built in with higher processing power, this CPU will definitely boast the max performance. This server comes with new DDR4 memory, making it irresistible choice!

    At the same time, to increase the disk performance and keep up with the industry standard, we are upgrading our hdisk with Samsung 850 Pro (raid 1). Best yet, whatever quota has been given, it will be yours to keep. 

    Overall, this upgrade will directly give much better performance in terms of CPU and Disk.

    We have done the necessary setting such that you don't have to make any configuration changes. We also backup your data to offsite server in case things go wrong. 

    As to the timing, this will be done on 15 Sept 2017 at 10PM Singapore Time. Expected downtime would be about 1 - 2 hours as we need to shutdown, migrate the account, and bootup. Your account is going to be migrated on logical volume, which means, all the settings are intact within your account. All IPs allocation remains the same.

    Only those customers who are located at Los Angeles (Quadranet) datacenter will be affected (IP address 67.215.252.131) . A separate email will be sent out to the affected clients.
