As we are going to do preventive maintenance, we require to upgrade the current server kernel to the latest one in order to keep the server up to date. This is only affecting xen-id1 clients, which you will receive a separate notice via emails to the affected clients. This will be upgrading the xen kernel from 4.2.x to 4.4.3.x (latest) and also upgrade on the CentOS to the latest kernel. While performing xen upgrade, we will also be applying xl toolstack that has some improvements to xen.
Server reboot is required to ensure that the latest kernel is being used when the server is booting up. Expected downtime is around 15-30 minutes on 27th November at 11PM Singapore Time.
